Chiron Enters Taurus - June 2026

On June 19, Chiron enters Taurus, beginning a new chapter in our collective healing journey that will unfold over the coming years.

In Greek mythology, Chiron was unlike the other centaurs. While centaurs were often depicted as wild and impulsive, Chiron was wise, learned, and devoted to healing. He was a teacher to heroes—a guide, healer, and mentor.

Yet despite his gifts, Chiron carried a wound of his own.

After being accidentally struck by one of Hercules' poisoned arrows, Chiron suffered an injury that could not be healed. Being immortal, he could not die, and being a healer, he could not cure himself. His wound became both burden and teacher.

This is the paradox at the heart of Chiron.

Our deepest wounds are often the places from which our greatest wisdom emerges. Not because suffering is inherently noble, but because the act of living alongside pain can cultivate compassion, understanding, and a capacity to guide others through terrain we know intimately ourselves.

Chiron reminds us that healing is not always about erasing what hurts. Sometimes it is about transforming our relationship to it.

As Chiron leaves Aries and enters Taurus, our attention shifts from questions of identity and selfhood toward something more fundamental: worth.

Taurus is the sign of stability, security, values, embodiment, and the physical world. It governs not only money and possessions, but also our relationship to rest, pleasure, safety, and our right to exist comfortably within our own lives.

Under this transit, many of us may begin asking difficult questions:

Am I worthy simply because I exist?

Do I believe I deserve rest, or only productivity?

What does security actually mean to me?

Do I trust life to support me?

These questions may seem simple on the surface, but they often touch some of our oldest wounds.

Many of us inherit stories about scarcity long before we have the language to name them. We inherit beliefs about money, labor, survival, and self-worth through our families, cultures, and environments. Perhaps we learned that love had to be earned. That rest was laziness. That stability was fragile. That our value depended on what we could produce.

Taurus asks us to slow down long enough to notice these stories.

Because healing under Taurus is rarely dramatic.

It is learning to eat when we are hungry and rest when we are tired.

It is allowing ourselves pleasure without guilt.

It is building routines that support us rather than punish us.

It is trusting that slowness is not failure.

In a culture that often equates worth with productivity, Chiron in Taurus may reveal just how deeply many of us have internalized the belief that we must earn our right to exist.

But perhaps healing begins when we stop treating ourselves like projects to optimize and start treating ourselves like living beings worthy of care.

This transit may also bring attention to our relationship with the body itself. Taurus is deeply embodied. Healing may emerge through nervous system work, time in nature, creative practices, financial healing, or learning to inhabit our physical selves with greater gentleness.

Not all wounds announce themselves dramatically.

Sometimes they reveal themselves quietly:

in our inability to rest,

our discomfort receiving help,

our fear of not having enough,

or the persistent feeling that we must always do more to be enough.

Chiron in Taurus invites us to ask whether these beliefs truly belong to us—or whether we have simply carried them for so long that they feel like truth.

A Note on Chiron Returns

If you were born with Chiron in Taurus (roughly those born between 1968–1977), this ingress marks the beginning of your Chiron return.

Like Saturn returns, Chiron returns occur when transiting Chiron returns to the same place it occupied at your birth, though they happen much later in life—typically around ages 50–51.

A Chiron return often brings old wounds to the surface, not to punish us, but to invite deeper integration. Themes that have followed us throughout life may re-emerge asking to be understood differently. For those experiencing this return, there can be profound opportunities for healing, mentorship, and finding meaning in experiences that once felt only painful.

The wound may not disappear.

But perhaps we discover that it no longer defines us.

As Chiron begins its journey through Taurus, we are invited to remember something many of us have forgotten:

Worth is not something we achieve.

It is something we remember.

Healing Practices for Chiron in Taurus

As Chiron moves through Taurus, healing may ask less of us in the realm of insight and more in the realm of embodiment. This is not necessarily the healing of breakthroughs, but of repetition. Of returning to ourselves again and again.

Some practices that may feel especially supportive during this transit include:

Nervous System Work
Taurus is deeply connected to the body and our sense of safety. Practices that regulate the nervous system—breathwork, time in nature, restorative movement, meditation, or simply slowing down—may become powerful medicine.

Shadow Work Around Worth
Notice the stories you carry about productivity, money, rest, and deservingness. Ask yourself:

  • What do I believe I must do to earn love?

  • When do I feel "not enough"?

  • Whose voice do I hear when I criticize myself?

The shadow often reveals itself not in our failures, but in the places we struggle to receive.

Building Sustainable Rituals
Taurus teaches that healing is often found in consistency rather than intensity. Consider creating small rituals that support your wellbeing: cooking nourishing meals, tending a garden, maintaining a creative practice, or spending time outdoors.

Embodiment Practices
Healing under Taurus invites us back into relationship with the body—not as something to control or perfect, but as a home to inhabit. Gentle movement, somatic therapies, massage, or simply noticing the sensations of daily life can become acts of reconnection.

Financial Healing
Because Taurus governs resources and security, this transit may also invite reflection on our relationship with money. Scarcity is not always financial; sometimes it is emotional. What would abundance mean to you beyond material wealth?

Chiron reminds us that healing is rarely linear.

And Taurus reminds us that some of the deepest transformations happen quietly: in the rituals we keep, the boundaries we honor, and the ways we learn to trust that we are already enough.
